Ahh. The fall of 2018. The biggest hit for my "gym" was Start A Riot. It may be too intense for younger listeners; but when that beat drops, my students would go absolutely bonkers. I discovered Young Fathers, an indie hip hop group, and Kanye dropped his Kids See Ghosts project with Kid Cudi. Greta Van Fleet revived the classic rock sound (The New Day being my personal favorite). I also discovered '39 by Queen, which led me down a delightful rabbit hole of Queen's deeper cuts. But nothing compared to my students' love for Post Malone & Swae Lee's Sunflower from the Spiderman soundtrack, which is full of gym bangers.

Everybody has different views on what's okay to play around kids and what isn't. So here's how this works. Below, you'll see all the songs on the playlist. If you click the song, you'll see the lyrics pop up. But not just lyrics. You'll also see questionable content is highlighted like this.
Questionable content is highlighted by word so you can read it for context. The spiciest words are highlighted in red. Medium words are highlighted in orange. And any word highlighted in yellow is either very mild or it's a word like "head" where it could be okay or absolutely not okay, depending on the context.
